THE CONCERT:
Ms. Cole had on slacks and a matching top with silver sparkles.  She's always sharp from head to toe! I love the way Natalie kind of just walks out quietly and appears on stage.  It's so cool. She used to come out differently years ago but I like the way she keeps changing.

Natalie began with "Fever."  She went right on through each song with ease.  As she sang "Better Than Anything," she mentioned that Diana Krall couldn't make it.  She added "Tell Me All About It" and Mr. Charlie Chaplin's "Smile."  As some people came in to get their seats, Natalie said, "Late, late, late."  Some guy kept yelling out something I guess in another language from the far back side of the venue and Natalie's response was something like, "Is he yelling out songs?  Well, it's not the majority so too bad."  She was funny! The audience agreed with her and applauded.   After she got through with the lovely "Unforgettable," the songs became more upbeat.

She kicked off "Day Dreaming" and folks were rockin.'   When she continued to speak to the sold out venue, Natalie told everyone that sometimes, change is good for them.  She started belting out U2 and B.B. King's "When Love Comes To Town."  Although I had never heard it before, I really enjoyed the song. Natalie can sing anything with that awesome voice. She put a mix of Ms. ReeRee's "Rock Steady" in with "Pink Cadillac."  She rocked it!  It was so good to see Sandy back with Ms. Cole's back-up singers.  I believe their names are Traci and Lisa.  Natalie began to talk to the crowd about life.  She said that when she first sang the next song, she didn't know what she was talking about, but life worked its way into it.  She said if you don't know it, you might blow it.  If you don't use it, you might lose it.  She then tore up "I'm Catching Hell."  They wore the song out!  The crowd was all into it and rose to give Natalie a standing ovation!  She gave her goodbyes and walked off stage.  Her band then followed her off.  The crowd continued to applaude and wanted more.  Ms. Cole came back with "This Will Be" and the crowd loved it and sang along.   Everyone remained standing and applauding as she gave her final goodbye. It was a wonderful night of song with Natalie Cole: A Living Legend!
