Highlights from the show:

The moment Natalie walked out on stage singing Nina Simone's "My Baby Just Cares For Me," one knew that it was going to be a great night of song.  We all went along for the ride and what a ride it was.  Her back-up singers, Michael and Catte, came up front and center to sing "Two For The Blues" with her.  There was great harmony going on and Natalie worked that song.  It was so cute when she told everyone "call out the words if you know them" to the song "Midnight Sun."  (Her song list on the road is now at 100 songs!)  As Natalie sang "Smile,"  she said that it was given to Nat by Mr. Charlie Chaplin.  When Natalie sang "What A Difference A Day Made," she said she was turned onto Dinah Washington by her Mom.  As she sang Ella Fitzgerald's "A-Tisket A-Tasket," she said it was the first jazz song that she heard at seven years of age; she sang it in front of her Dad, the late great Mr. Nat King Cole.

Natalie was so funny during the show, particularly when someone in the audience requested "Orange Colored Sky" and later began telling Natalie that she saw her performance at this same location quite some years ago.  As she began to speak, Natalie walked over to her and said to the audience "Oh, now we have a talk show."  LOL!  After the fan had spoken, Natalie told everyone how appreciative she is of people like this who support her and how it keeps her doing what she does.  (smile)  The band played the beginning again and then she came in on her part and it sounded so good.  Ooh, when she sang "Tell Me All About It," one couldn't help but to sing along and move to the smooth rhythm.  Of course, "Unforgettable" always gets everyone going; it's brilliantly done.  She said she couldn't act like she didn't hear the fan in the audience (LOL!) so she fulfilled the request and sang "Orange Colored Sky."

When the band began playing "Mr. Melody" and it stops just before she sings, it was so funny when she said something like "I like when they do that, do it again."  We all clapped along to "This Will Be."  From 1975 to the present day, that song still sounds absolutely great!  She received a standing ovation for the second or third time as she finished the song, left the stage and we all thought it was over.  She came back out as we called her name and she said that we gave her an idea.  She sang "Pink Cadillac" and tore it up!  She said something like that's all folks and left the stage to another standing ovation.  All-in-all, it was such a wonderful evening and one couldn't help but leave realizing even more that Natalie is definitely a true living legend.
